A presentation template is more useful when it understands the job: a workshop, client update, or project proposal. A hundred decorative slides can be harder to use than fifteen purposeful layouts. The product should help buyers organize their own facts without supplying invented evidence.
A small offer to test
Create a small template for one use case with instructions, editable charts, and a completed fictional example. State supported presentation software and font requirements.

One email per experiment. Full numbers, no fluff.
How to start
- Map the actual presentation sequence and design layouts for each decision or explanation.
- Test long titles, large numbers, and real-world text lengths. Make sure the design survives ordinary edits.
- Export to PDF and open the editable file on another device. Check fonts, chart labels, and speaker notes.
Finding the first buyers
Consultants, trainers, or project managers in the chosen niche can judge a focused example quickly. Demonstrate how one messy slide becomes clearer using the template.
Work through the economics
Fifteen hypothetical $24 sales produce $360. With an assumed $75 in selling costs and refunds, contribution is $285 before tax, overhead, and design time.
Contribution is what remains after the costs stated in the example; it is not take-home profit. Include unpaid sales time, setup, support, unsuccessful attempts, and any omitted overhead when deciding whether the idea is worth your time.
What can make it a poor fit
Use fonts, icons, and images with appropriate redistribution rights. A license to use an asset in your own work may not permit bundling it for resale.
How much work continues?
Downloads can run automatically, but compatibility fixes and buyer questions continue.
Your first decision point
Ask unfamiliar users to build a short deck from their own content. Revise layouts they repeatedly break.
